Today, while trying to figure out what to write for today, I came across some articles that said two of my favorite Korean actors will be speaking English in their new films coming out in 2013.
Song Kang-Ho (Memories of Murder, Host, The Good, the Bad, the Weird) will reuniting with director Bong Joon-Ho (Memories of Murder, Host) in the film “Snow Piercer.” The film supposedly takes place after an Ice Age kills off most all life on our planet. There are survivors on a train called the “snow piercer” where a class system is implemented. The film will put Song Kang-Ho along side Chris Evans, John Hurt, and Ed Harris. Director Bong said 80 percent of the film was shot in English and will make this his English-language debut. Post production for the film has wrapped and we should be able to see it sometime in 2013.
Along with this, actor Lee Byung-Hun (JSA, A Bittersweet LIfe, The Good, the Bad, the Weird) will also be present with some big actors from the States. He will be along side Bruce Willis and John Malkovich in Red 2. Red 2 is the sequel of Red which is based off a comic book series will bring back Willis and Malkovich and be fighting all across Europe.
As more news comes, I will be sure to keep you updated. This makes me that much more excited about films in 2013.
